SCAD Back40 Promotion
SCAD Back40, a sustainable urban farm, celebrates 40 years of creativity by offering a sanctuary for bees and pollinators through its apiary, providing fresh produce, and promoting community education. The farm also regularly donates to Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia and offers an observation area for schools and organizations. The animation, which blends 2D and 3D techniques, tells the story of an injured bee and its interactions with the urban farm environment.
I collaborated with a team of 12 graduate students to create a 2D and 3D hybrid animation commercial for the SCAD Urban Farm and Apiary. Our team included a producer, director, character artist, 2D artists, and 3D artists. My role on the project was as a 3D team member, where I was primarily responsible for 3D modeling and texturing. I also occasionally supported the 2D team with coloring each frame.
